Terry McGill Straight Drive #cw 0101
"Let me be the first to say this one has it instrumentally and vocally. You will not be disappointed."
Don Larkin, Country Music promoter, MC, and host of
"The Hometown Frolic" WAAT Newark, NJ 1951-1961
Cabinwood Music's first release(2001) - Straight Drive by Terry McGill.
Terry's music is steeped in tradition while remaining fresh at the same time.
Terry's hard-driving banjo picking on both traditional and original instrumentals and behind some
great vocals by Dave Hampton, Scott Eager, Jen Larson, and Terry's father, Charlie McGill.
There is plenty of great harmony singing as well, so if hard driving Bluegrass music is what you're into, pick up a copy of Straight Drive.

Straight Drive - I'll Take a Page From Your Book #cw 0205
Shows a fine sense of tradition. At the core of this CD's success is vocalist Jen Larson. She calls on a beautiful blue, throaty quality-at ease shifts to an almost fragile lilt-shows impeccable vocal control. Bluegrass Unlimited- February 2006

STRAIGHT DRIVE–"I'll Take a Page From Your Book"
I was having a conversation with a bluegrass festival MC once when he excused himself with, "I got to go introduce Bill Monroe." It occurred to me that there's a guy who doesn't quite understand what his job is. By the time there existed bluegrass festivals one did not introduce Bill Monroe; one presented him.
Straight Drive plays bluegrass music the way Bill Monroe (and Carter Stanley) conceived of it.
